I don't really know what to write here, nor am I sure if I should maintain a blog. If I do, what should it be about? I guess it could be a place to share extra information on The Malignancy or whatever my next book happens to be about. I do have a few ideas already, and I'm definetly excited. I think for the next book I'm going to write in a third person point of view. The first person POV can be kind of limiting, but it was good for The Malignancy.
"Should I Start a Blog for My First Book: The Malignancy?"

I'd definitely start a blog, as you've seen to already have done.
I think one great use for a blog would be to develop your writing skills. You could do experimental little bits, perhaps short stories, where you test writing things here and there, test new ideas, and thus could get feedback on your experiments from readers, so that when you do apply it to a book, or perhaps a collection of stories [my teacher, Mr. Branco, did always think many writers such as Steven King did better with short stories], you won't be doing it for the first time, and you'll know what works and what doesn't.
In addition, great authors of the past, such as Tolkien, wrote letters…
Hey Liam, it's Emil here! Yes, I think you should start a blog! It's a great way to express yourself, to build your writing skills, to share and experiment with ideas, to keep your fans updated, etc. Maybe you can do posts about yourself, about how you got into writing, how you came up with the idea for your book, the process of publishing it, and what you wanna do next. You can share short stories or poems or any other kind of writing as well, or share your recommendations on books. There's so many things you can blog about. I say go for it!! ;) Emil T.
